Services Offered

Individual Counselling

I offer individual counselling services for clients ages 10 and older, who may be experiencing concerns related to anxiety, motivation, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, mental toughness, learning challenges, parenting/ family issues, neurodivergence, and well-being.

My therapeutic approach carefully integrates Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focussed Therapy. I am strength-based and client-centered, meaning that I focus on helping clients find/ access their motivation, strengths, and resources for creating meaningful change in their own lives. While I will guide you along the journey, my goal is to help you understand yourself and have the self-efficacy that you need to feel in control of your life.

I provide sessions for parents in order to provide parenting strategies and assist in creating actionable plans for supporting their children, teens, and/or young adults. Recommendations and strategies follow a strength-based and attachment approach, intended to build and expand upon your existing strengths while helping you to form and maintain healthy emotional attachments.

I share my insights, experience, and specialized knowledge through tailored workshops and professional consultations for groups including the following:

I provide Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy (EFCT) for couples who are having trouble feel stuck, disconnected, and powerless to the negative patterns they can fall into. Through helping partners to understand themselves, each other, and their patterns of interactions, I help couples find clear pathways for reconnecting, learn ways to communicate their emotions effectively, and address the root causes of relationship issues in order to create lasting change.

Fees & Payment

Sills Psychology charges a fee-for-service that is in accordance with the recommended fee schedule made by the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA). As such, the fee for psychological service (counselling, consultation, documentation, etc.) is $235 per hour. To learn more about the Fee Schedule recommendations by PAA, click here.

For your convenience, Sills Psychology uses touchless payment through the online clinic management software, Jane. This serves to allow us to spend more time in-session instead of needing to take time at the end for payment. You will be prompted to input your card details when creating your profile on Jane in order to schedule sessions. Your card details are securely stored in Jane, and you will receive an emailed receipt immediately after payment is processed. At this time, Sills Psychology is unable to direct bill insurance companies.

Acceptable forms of payment include e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Visa/Debit.

A late cancellation (within 24 hours) or missed session takes away a spot that could have been filled by another client. As such, 24-hours notice is required for any cancellations or changes to appointments. Clients who provide less than 24 hours’ notice (without illness or inclement weather), or miss their appointment, will be charged for the appointment at the full hourly rate. Insurance companies may not cover missed appointments, and clients are responsible for the fees.
